By car from North: after traveling the Autostrada del Sole A1 Milan-Naples, take the A3 Naples-Salerno motorway and exit at Castellammare. From there, take State Road 145, towards Meta and Sorrento, at Meta turn off to the left and then merge onto Highway 163 towards Positano.
Positano is 15.7 kilometers from Sorrento with a journey time of approximately 24 minutes.
By car from South: take the A3 Naples-Salerno and proceed to the exit Vietri sul Mare. Once in Vietri you can continue on Highway 163, the Amalfi drive, towards Positano. The State Route 163 joins all the towns of the Amalfi Coast.
Positano is 39.5 kilometers from Vietri sul Mare and takes about 90 minutes travel time.
By train: from the Central Station of Piazza Garibaldi in Naples there is a local train, the Circumvesuviana line to the city of Sorrento. From Sorrento you can then go by bus to Positano, with the service offered by SITA.
By plane: once landed at Naples Capodichino Airport, you can reach the center of Naples with the ATAN bus service. From here, you can reach the central Station of Piazza Garibaldi and continue as if you arrive by train. You can also take advantage of ferry services from the Molo Beverello Mergellina to Positano. There is also a bus service from Naples airport to Sorrento, the Curreri Service Srl.
